Confessions of a Hypertext Addict

I am a hypertext addict.

I seek out experiences everywhere I can that incorporate layers of media on top of each other all crushing into one another and melding into a creation that is greater than the sum of its parts.*

*But in the mad dash for that something else, that beautiful synthesis, I daresay I have forgotten to admire the parts for what they are. I chase after footnotes and forget what the text itself was trying to convey. I let my mind wander and lose any chance at a coherent story because I want to experience all of it, damn you, first time around I want my money’s worth. Who knows if I’ll ever be back in this town and if I never come back again I want to have stepped foot in every last corner of it.
